The Requirements

You know LA traffic. Our preference is that you live within a 30-minute commute, during high-traffic times, of our offices on Wilshire and Granville. That way you'll arrive fresh and free of commute stress. We'll even consider a relocation bonus in some circumstances. Of course, we want to hear from highly qualified candidates who live anywhere in the West LA area.

Our Inside Sales Reps work 8-hour shifts between 7 AM and 6 PM Pacific. Right now we have an opening on the 8:30 to 6 shift, but we are flexible -- and we'll look to you to be flexible, too.

The Role

Reporting to a Sales Manager, you will join an Inside Sales team of 15 and help customers daily through inbound calls. We consider these warm leads, as the callers have a need. Pivotal to your success will be your ability to understand their situation and help them choose the right products.

We'll provide training to help you become an expert on our products and services so that you can address concerns, offer solutions, and place orders. Call volume is high, and you'll take 50 to 60 calls a day. Efficiency is important, but we'll also look to you to spend the time necessary with each caller. There are opportunities to close a sale on every call, and we'll help you develop the skills to do that.

Most situations are resolved in a single call, but you may need to do a little research and get back to a customer. In addition, you may support insurance approvals and handle other tasks.

You'll need to complement your strong product knowledge with the ability to deliver a "wow experience" for each and every customer. That experience includes excellent service and insightful, individual attention. You should be adept at asking open-ended questions to get customers talking. From there you'll need to listen "between the lines," understand their true needs and recommend solutions. Taking that approach on every call will require energy and mental stamina.
